My name is Grace, and I would like to welcome you warmly to my little world of Illustration. I would now hand you a cup of TeaPigs and a Lemon cake, but being that this is a virtual greeting, you might just have to use your imagination for now.
My imagination is the place I escape into for most of the day; if I'm not there, then I'm likely busy making plans to return very soon. For as long as I can remember I have had a pencil or paintbrush in my hand, and with these tools I have learned the language that defines my creative voice.
In sitting down to draw, I know that I can rely on my mind and hand to conquer any great beast or towering wall that has found itself trespassing into my imagination…at least, that is how I see it.
Today though, you are most welcome to embark on a whistle-stop-tour of the characters, colours, cards and creations that have escaped my mind. Most of them are quite friendly, and only one has been known to bite. I only ask that you wipe your feet upon entry, and pop back soon after you leave...
It all starts with a thought and a line, and then something magical happens. Here are a few magical thoughts I’ve captured at my studio desk. If you’d like to know more about my personal illustration work, or would like to work with me on a project, please get in touch by clicking here
Here are a few of my ‘Book-Card’ designs, which combine illustration and typography for that extra special postal greeting . You can view all cards I’ve designed by clicking here
Getting kids reading early is so important , and I know for me the Classics mean so much because I befriended them in childhood. You can see my illustrations in the Sweet Cherry range of Easy Classics, and within their Every Cherry range of books, which utilise more spacious design and are accessible to all readers!
